The PKR 38 billion project was launched in 2018 with the support of the World Bank (WB) and is expected to be completed by 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/rda-undp-mou-sustainable-urbanisation-projects.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RDA, UNDP sign MoU for sustainable urbanisation projects<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the reports, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/smart-cities-in-the-works.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"44788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> 16 municipalities<\/a> included in the project are Daska, Hafizabad, Jhelum, Kamoke, Muridke, Wazirabad, Gojra, Jaranwala, Jhang, Kamalia, Okara, Bahawalnagar, Burewala, Khanewal, Kotaddu and Vehari. Under Phase-II of the project, development schemes related to water supply, sewerage, storm drainage, solid waste management, wastewater treatment plants, urban roads, parks and streetlights will be launched.
