Islamabad: The Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has launched a website and mobile application to track the progress of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)<\/a>, according to news sources on January 14. The application was created in partnership with the Planning Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, the launch event was attended by Minister of Planning and Development Asad Umar and Chairman of SUPARCO Major General Amer Nadeem. Speaking at the event, Asad Umer stated that the use of technology and advanced imaging and geographical information systems (GIS)<\/a> will aid in resolving outstanding development difficulties and identifying bottlenecks in project execution. The programme will deliver the most recent and up-to-date high-resolution photos of ongoing development projects via a mobile app that can be downloaded. Moreover, the application will provide information regarding non-CPEC projects as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
