The letters were distributed under a new scheme launched under the first phase of the Sindh Katchi Abadis Authority (SKAA). A total of 45 such residential slums exist in the province. The chairman said that the SKAA will help regularise residential land that will provide houses to a large portion of the community. On the occasion, SKAA Chairman Liaquat Askani stated that the initiative will be phased-in to other parts of the province.
