Lahore: The government of Punjab has approved PKR 3 billion to pay outstanding dues of all the contractors working on public development projects in the city, news sources reported. The funds are released considering the anticipated delays in public works due to contractor nonpayment. In other news, the provincial Department of Mines and Minerals has granted a contract to build a five-story structure in Johar Town. The project will cost PKR 326 million and contain all of the department’s offices and employees. According to the design plans, the Minerals Complex will also include a basement.
