The new rules were announced in response to an order issued by the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lhc-noc-qr-housing-scheme-advertisement.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"83788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday <\/a>(February 09).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lhc-noc-qr-housing-scheme-advertisement.html\" target=\"_blank\">LHC makes NOC, QR codes mandatory for housing schemes\u2019 advertisement<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the LDA advertisement, several residential housing schemes and their sponsors violate the LDA Private Housing Schemes Rule-2014 by promoting their schemes in mainstream print and digital media without getting a No Objection Certificate (NOC). As a result, the authorities issued the following warning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No residential schemes and land subdivision and their sponsors have the right to advertise their schemes before approval from LDA.&nbsp;<\/li><li>No housing scheme is even allowed to advertise after their registration and approval from LDA without getting NOC from the authority&nbsp;<\/li><li>Advertising residential schemes without getting NOC from LDA is illegal and a punishable crime under the LDA Act 1975&nbsp;<\/li><li>LDA can lodge a First Investigation Report (FIR) with police and even demolish illegally built structures and seal the premises<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The LDA further stated that, in accordance with the LHC judgments, the authority will take strict action against any housing scheme that advertises without prior authorization and NOC from the LDA. In this respect, the LDA has urged that the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), the All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS), and other relevant agencies prohibit advertisements unless the developer, sponsor, and owner of such schemes obtain a valid NOC from the LDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/sbp-change-lending-mechanisms-tier-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SBP directs banks to change lending mechanisms for Tier-1 applicants<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What information housing schemes are required to display in their advertisements?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Total land area with the exact location of the scheme&nbsp;<\/li><li>Number of residential and commercial plots&nbsp;<\/li><li>Number of mortgage plots with their details including plot number, block and area<\/li><li>A detailed timeline of completing the development work, including road, sewage and other work<\/li><li>The name of the approving authority and the registration number of the detailed plan layout of the scheme<\/li><li>Plot allotment method; whether or not it will be allied through balloting or not and the detail of the plots available for sale<\/li><li>NOC number from LDA issued for the purpose of advertisement in print and electronic media<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>LDA has requested all advertising agencies to ensure that the advertising party has obtained NOC from LDA for advertisement and has all of the above-mentioned information.
