According to the details, the Punjab Energy Department has submitted bids for the solar power project for the WASA. The initiative is estimated to save PKR 5 billion in power costs drawn from the national grid. It was reported that WASA spends PKR 460 million per month on running 591 tube wells and other WASA facilities in Lahore alone.
