The funds will be utilised to fund 27 projects in the industries, higher education, communication and works, health, sports and tourism, Auqaf, social welfare, home and public health engineering sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pdwp-approves-projects-kp.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PDWP approves projects for KP\u2019s energy &amp; tourism sectors<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, the PDWP meeting presided over by Additional Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah approved the budget for the following projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Construction of flood protection walls along Muqam nullah in Mardan, Kurram River, Kasho nullah, Chashma nullah, Speenatangi nullah and Tochi River<\/li><li>Provision of viability gap funds, utility shifting and resettlement for construction of Swat Expressway<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Following projects were approved under road infrastructure development and rehabilitation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rehabilitation of roads in Karak, Takht-i-Nusrati and Banda Daud Shah<\/li><li>Widening and rehabilitation of Chakia Junglan Sundar-Kalatian road in Mardan<\/li><li>Rehabilitation of Shahkail Pairan road in Mansehra<\/li><li>The forum also approved rehabilitation and widening of Sultankhel Darra roads, Chapper Dara road, Karro Dara road, Bandai Serai Arrimanzai road, Galkorr Karbadai via Shalgah road and construction of a bridge in Sadiqabad village of Dir Upper<\/li><li>Construction of Chuprial Bypass road in Swat<\/li><li>Construction of a road from Gula Jan Kot to Naseebkhel in Tank<\/li><li>Construction of road from Arzikhel to Nazankhel in Tank<\/li><li>Construction of Khwazakhela bypass in Swat Construction of a road to Chilgoza Forest in South Waziristan Blacktopping of roads and construction of different link roads in Wana sub-division South<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pdwp-approves-construction-peshawar-di-khan-motorway.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PDWP approves construction of Peshawar-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the education and sports sector following projects were approved:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Establishment of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa University of Technology\u00a0 (KPUT) in Nowshera<\/li><li>Fata youth skills development<\/li><li>Construction of Zamung Kor in Swat<\/li><li>Hockey turf in Buner, Swabi and Malakand<\/li><li>Grant-in-aid for free education to students of tribal districts<\/li><li>Capacity building and skill development of students of seminaries<\/li><li>Following projects were approved in the infrastructure development domain:<\/li><li>Construction of central police office in Peshawar<\/li><li>Construction of purpose-built facility at Gajju Khan Medical College in Swabi<\/li><li>Sanitation scheme for Gandhari-II union council, Harichand-II union council, Qilla Mardhand, Behram Dheri, Showdag, Gandheri, Hisara Nehri and Abazai in Charsadda district<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Peshawar: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Tuesday (March 08) approved a development budget of PKR 30.6 billion for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), news sources reported.
