According to a statement released by the Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA)<\/a> on Monday (March 28), the authorisation marks a historic shift in Lahore’s construction industry. For the first time in Lahore’s history, this would allow the construction of high-rise buildings. According to the statement, the LCBDDA auctioned five plots with a permitted height of 500 feet, but the height has been extended to 750 feet. The bidders will pay for the extra height. In an interview with the media, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Imran Amin stated that the move would transform the skyline of Lahore by adding more highrises to the country’s second-largest metropolis.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
