Bahawalpur: Pelican Builders & Property Consultants (Pvt) Ltd. has kicked off development work at its landmark project \u2018Pelican Mall<\/a>\u2019, in an earth breaking ceremony held on March 25 at the project site on Main Jinnah Avenue in DHA Bahawalpur. The said ceremony was attended by Chief Guest Corps Commander Bahawalpur Lt Gen Khalid Zia HI (M) and was covered live by Zameen.com on Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking about the project, Pelican Mall CEO Malik Zulfiqar stated that the vision behind the development was to introduce all-under-one-roof shopping mall and hotel chain in the city of Bahawalpur. He cited the successful examples of such projects in bigger metropolises and said that the company conceived this project to facilitate the residents of DHA Bahawlapur. Mr Zulfiqar said that owing to the warm weather conditions of the city, an indoor, all-equipped shopping complex will be a sure success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, he revealed that to achieve the project\u2019s quality construction and timely completion, the developer has engaged a Chinese construction company \u2018Builders Mart\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pelican Mall Director Muqtasid Malik also spoke at the event and predicted the project to become an iconic landmark in the city. He said the development of this project will create employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swiss International Hotels and Resorts Area Director Khurram Niaz congratulated the citizens on getting such a prestigious hotel brand as the city\u2019s first international hospitability outlet. He quoted several high-class amenities being featured in the project including a banquet hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
