Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority\u2019s (CDA<\/a>) Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) has established five sasta<\/em> (subsidised) Ramazan Bazaars in different sectors across the city to provide essential edibles at a lower price than market rates, according to a news story published on Wednesday (April 6).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DMA Director Shakeel Arshad disclosed that subsidised bazaars are operational in various sectors including G-6, G-7, G-10, H-9, and I-9. These sasta <\/em>bazaars sell items including vegetables, fruits, and other edible items at controlled prices during the holy month of Ramazan. He went on to say that the main purpose of such bazaars is to make sure the public has access to essential kitchen items.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, Director Arshad informed that the teams are formed to keep a check on the prices mentioned at the stalls. He further added that strict action will be taken against profiteering.
