As per the details, the transport minister held a meeting with Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL) regarding buses for Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). He informed that the buses were scheduled to reach Karachi port on Wednesday (May 11) and will be transported to the depot after a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reportedly, Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the Karachi Mass Transit Authority (KMTA) to finish the remaining work on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/operationalise-orange-line-brt.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Orange Line BRT<\/a> project by the end of May. The CM wants to make the bus service operational by the first of June. He chaired a review meeting, where the transport department briefed him on the progress of the bus service. He was informed that 95% of the work on the 3.8-kilometre has been completed. CM Murad directed the Transport Minister Memon to speed up the work on the project so it can be operated using 20 vehicles.\u00a0 The minister directed to prepare the training schedule of the drivers so their training can start quickly. He was informed that the National Radio &amp; Telecommunication (NRTC) will be acquiring 250 buses for the bus service, out of which 240 will operate in Karachi on seven routes.
