Currently, the overall water supply is standing at 45 MGD after the repair of several water supply channels.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cda-to-float-tender-for-supply-tankers-repair.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"85480\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDA\u2019s water wing to float PKR 4 mn tender for supply tankers\u2019 repair<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision to increase the water supply was made during a meeting chaired by Chairman CDA Amir Ali Ahmad. He directed all concerned departments and officials to take all necessary steps required to improve the water supply by repairing leaks and making <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cda-install-tube-wells-improve-water-supply.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"85202\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">water tube wells operationa<\/a>l. The meeting was briefed that the authority has added a total of 15 MGD of water to the existing capacity by repairing 1,000 leakages, functionalising 14 old tube wells, and operationalising another 18 new tube wells.
