A total of 70% of the work on the project has already been completed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cda-land-islamabad-wildlife-board.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"86117\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDA to swap 327-acre land with Islamabad Wildlife Management Board<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, the 31 kilometre-long project, which stretches from the Grand Trunk (GT) road to Bhara Kahu, is part of Islamabad&#8217;s master plan. The extension was granted to accommodate the project&#8217;s design revisions.\u00a0 The project, which was originally intended to have two lanes of traffic on each side, will now have three lanes due to the addition of a diversion near Sectors D-12 and D13. The diversion was suggested to safeguard the century-old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cda-land-acquisition-villages-margalla-hills.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"82307\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Allah Ditta cemetery<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, it was announced that the project will take three months to complete and an additional three months have been given to handle the project&#8217;s supplementary work.\u00a0 It should also be noted that the CDA awarded the Margalla Hills Road project to the FWO.
