{"id":86967,"date":"2022-06-29T13:06:47","date_gmt":"2022-06-29T08:06:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/?p=86967"},"modified":"2022-06-29T13:06:52","modified_gmt":"2022-06-29T08:06:52","slug":"cdwp-approves-projects-referred-ecnec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cdwp-approves-projects-referred-ecnec.html","title":{"rendered":"CDWP approves projects, refers 6 projects to ECNEC for approval"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) gave a nod to several projects worth PKR 34.83 billion and referred six projects, worth PKR 107.505 billion, to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for final approval, according to the news published in the national dailies on June 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cdwp-projects-1800-bn-fy23.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDWP approves projects worth PKR 1800 bn for FY23<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CDWP meeting was chaired by Planning Secretary Zafar Ali Shah in which approval was given to 19 projects; out of which 13 were approved by CWDP and 6 were referred to ECNEC for formal approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CDWP referred the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/nha-mansehra-muzaffarabad-pc-1-cdwp.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Muzaffarabad-Mansehra Road project<\/a> to ECNEC for approval, at the cost of PKR 44.72 billion. Under this project, a 26.6-kilometre road will be constructed that will connect Manshera with Muzaffarabad. The project will also include 11 bridges and two tunnels on the riverbanks of Kunar and Jhelum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another project forwarded to ECENC for approval was a road that will link KP to Azad Kashmir. The project features a 50-kilometre mountainous road that will be executed by the National Highway Authority (NHA). It will connect Neelum Valley to Jalkhad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cdwp-development-projects-15-bn.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDWP clears development projects worth PKR 15 bn<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the meeting referred the construction of mini-sports complexes, with an accumulated cost of PKR 12 billion, to the ECNEC. Under this initiative, 250 mini sports complexes will be upgraded or developed across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CDWP recommended the construction of a bridge with approach roads between Sukkur-Rohri, at the cost of PKR 10.28 billion. Similarly, the meeting sent another road project, worth PKR 11.58 billion, for formal approval to the committee. This project was for compensation of the Rajanpur-Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan section as a four-lane highway and rehabilitation and dualization of DG Khan-Dera Ismail (DI) Khan of National Highway (N-55).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cdwp-approves-pkr-273-billion-kcr.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDWP approves PKR 273 billion for KCR<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the meeting approved the proposal of establishing a Knowledge Park in Islamabad and a Network of Digital Libraries Capitals, at the cost of PKR 6.9 billion. The meeting considered the feasibility study for the metro bus route in Quetta.
