It was highlighted that Kashmir Apartments in G-13, when completed, will encompass 1,467 apartments. The committee was told that presently 16% development work on the project is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the meeting was told that the owing to the rise in the construction materials\u2019 cost, the project has been inordinately delayed. It was revealed that the price adjustments included in the contract of the project \u2013 as per the standards and the price adjustment guidelines of Pakistan Engineering Council \u2013 cannot cover the \u2018present hyper-escalation\u2019 in the prices of the construction materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/retendering-of-karachi-avenue-apartments.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ministry for retendering of Kashmir Avenue Apartments project in G-13<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry assured the panel that it is taking measures to resolve the issues and has forwarded a summary to the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) for approval of recommendations.
