Karachi: Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Wednesday (July 6) announced the development of three more parks in the Boat Basin area over the next three months, news sources reported. The parks will be developed by Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) under the Karachi Neighborhood Project Phase-II<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, he announced the parks development project at the inauguration ceremony of two parks in the Boat Basin area named after Justice Rana Bhagwan Das Park and Dr Faridon Framroz Setna<\/a>. Speaking on the occasion, Murtaza stated that the minority community of Karachi has made significant contributions to Pakistan’s soft image, and naming parks and infrastructure in their honour is a way to acknowledge their efforts. He stated that the construction of three new parks would be prioritised in order to create healthy environments for the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further emphasised the government’s recent efforts to improve the city’s infrastructure. He stated that the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) is striving to make Karachi the best metropolitan in the country. It is worth noting that the KMC has launched the Karachi Neighbourhood Project in order to improve the city’s aesthetic and make it more appealing to tourists.
