The water management authority will be established under the Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Programme (PICIIP). On the occasion, the secretary stated that work on development projects in both cities will be expedited following the monsoon. He also stated that the government would start new projects in Sialkot and Sahiwal from November this year.
