As per the details, the data was collected by the officials of the irrigation department, RUDA, National Engineering Service Pakistan (NESPAK), and Indus River System Authority (IRSA). During the data collection process, the teams analysed water quality, flow, and flood situations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the RUDA has planned a project to rehabilitate the River Ravi and convert it into a perennial freshwater body, having environmental and social benefits. It was mentioned that the river training works will decrease the damage caused by the floods and river flow. The construction of the barrage is a vital part of the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP) because it will help revive the river and minimise the possibility of a flood.
