As per the new development, the <em> <\/em>modaraba firms will be allowed to invest in projects authorised by the specific development firms.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/secp-regulatory-amendments-reit.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"88203\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SECP proposes regulatory amendments for REITs investments<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, the SECP has permitted all multipurpose modaraba enterprises with up to one-third (1\/3rd) of their total assets invested in real estate will have to comply with the following conditions:<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The investments shall be made only in assets recognized by development authorities, i.e., Karachi Development Authority (KDA), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cda-deadline-bhara-kahu-bypass-project.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"87975\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Capital Development Authority (CDA)<\/a>, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and\/or any other development authority in any city of Pakistan and should be accompanied by NOC relating to real estate project from the aforesaid authority<\/li><li>The purpose of investment can be to develop properties for rental or development or a mix of both objectives (rental and development).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/secp-digital-amcs-financial-inclusion.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"87733\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SECP introduces digital AMCs to promote financial inclusion<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, in the case of a Modaraba created specifically for real estate investment or where real estate investment accounts for one-third (1\/3rd) or more of the Modaraba&#8217;s total assets, the firm must have at least two directors with a minimum of five years of experience dealing with real estate projects.
