Gwadar: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Tuesday (August 30) directed the provincial government of Balochistan to complete the Gwadar Safe City Project (GSCP) in the next six months, news sources reported. Read: Omani firm to invest in Jacobabad-Gwadar rail connectivity project The minister directed for Project Concept-1 (PC-1) of the GSCP to be revised before the next Central Working Development Party (CDWP) meeting in September. The minister also instructed that a technical consultation meeting be held with the Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) in the first week of September. The minister was informed that the provincial government has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the PSCA for technical support and project implementation. The minister said the project is extremely important for Gwadar as the city is a gateway to the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC) project.
