The meeting deliberated and approved district land use plans for Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, Abbottabad and Swabi districts. The said plans are aimed to act as policy guidelines for the establishment of a hierarchy of settlements, planned growth of major infrastructure and services, and undertaking cohesive urban and rural development through systematic land allocation and utilisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the sources, the chief minister has also given a timeline of one week to concerned authorities to finalise their proposals in consultation with administrative departments. He directed all departments to implement the proposed district land use plan \u2018in letter and spirit\u2019. It was also highlighted during the meeting that the said plans were formulated by keeping climate, physical location, geological situation, hydrology and water resources, population and demography of the districts in view.
