Elahi stated that additional cities joining LDA would improve their infrastructure and laws. In addition, the governing board adopted the following decisions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>CM approved the LDA\u2019s budget for the financial year 2022-23<\/li><li>The CM ordered the establishment of fire hydrants across the city with continuous water supply for timely response to urban fire incidents<\/li><li>He also ordered the LDA not to approve any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/rescue-1122-issues-reminder-for-sealing-ghakkar-plaza.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4965\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">multi-storey building plan<\/a> without the safety clearance from Rescue 1122 services<\/li><li>The body decided that the minimum area for any apartment project will be 1-kanal<\/li><li>LDA will also collect sanitation-related charges from non-paying private housing schemes on behalf of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/wasa-jica-water-treatment-plant-faisalabad.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"88732\">WASA, JICA to install surface water treatment plant in Faisalabad<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The body approved the construction of apartments in the Finance and Trade Center Johar Town<\/li><li>The plan for the improvement of Khayaban Amin, Johar Town was also approved<\/li><li>Approval was given for the marketing and business model of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/walk-n-shop-arena-lda-governing-body-gives-nod-hiring-consultant.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"52942\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Walk and Shop LDA Shopping Arena<\/a> in Johar Town\u00a0<\/li><li>The meeting also approved the infrastructure improvement project of the Mohlanwal Housing Scheme and decided to waive the penalty for late submission of past dues due to the pandemic.
