Islamabad: SAP SE, a German multinational software company, has announced it will set up a software house in the country to train new professionals and increase technology accessibility, news sources reported. Read: Gilgit gets its first software technology park According to SAP Country Managing Director Saquib Ahmad, the project’s goal is to recruit more talent and teach at least 5,000 students each year technology and software-related skills. He claims that expanding IT-related export products will considerably benefit the country’s economy. He said that the company has begun the process of obtaining formal No-objection Certificates (NOCs) and authorisation to establish a Software Development Center in Pakistan. He indicated that the corporation would not seek tax exemption and would continue to pay taxes in accordance with current government regulations.
