The authority will impose fines and demolish any housing schemes that have been built within the specified areas. He stated that the move was taken to restore the river ecosystem and to avoid encroachment on the natural path of the river, which has hampered the smooth flow of water. In this regard, the authorities have issued notifications to all housing developments built on said land. Failure to comply with the notices will result in the authorities launching action against such schemes.
