The attendees discussed regional strategy, economic development, and other issues. The CM stated that the residential needs in the city are increasing and it will be taken into consideration in the master plan. He went on to say that the people living in the suburbs will be provided with the same facilities as city dwellers. This will enable them to purchase plots from the authority in a day. The news source mentioned that the transfer facility of plots will be provided to overseas Pakistanis on the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, CM Elahi directed the authorities concerned to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lda-build-3-megaprojects-provincial-capital.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"80545\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">materialise the Shahdara plan<\/a> and to start construction work. He also announced that the public transport system will be developed on modern lines along with the construction of flyovers and interchanges to ease traffic flow. The meeting also approved the construction of a flyover and underpass to make Akbar Chowk signal-free.
