Islamabad: Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Mehmet Pacaci stated on Tuesday (October 25) that Turkiye wishes to increase bilateral trade with Pakistan to at least USD 5 billion within the next three years, news sources reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated this at a meeting with the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry delegation (ICCI). Dr Pacaci said that commerce via roads and railroads<\/a> should be encouraged between the two countries, including upgrading Pakistan’s railway system to make it compatible with Turkiye’s railway system. The ambassador recommended forming a committee of representatives from all stakeholders on both sides to consider ideas and methods for trade development via railroads and road connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Pacaci also applauded ICCI’s plan to organize an International Housing Expo <\/a>in partnership with the Ministry of Housing and Works and told delegates that Turkish firms in Pakistan, as well as Turkish companies and dignitaries, will participate in the Expo.
