Karachi: Sindh Transport & Mass Transit Minister Sharjeel Memon stated that a mobile application will be launched for Peoples Bus Service <\/a>on November 30 to facilitate citizens along with activating Intelligent Transport System (ITS) in all the buses, according to news published on October 28. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking about the mobile app, Transport Minister Memon revealed that it will facilitate the citizens in tracking buses in real-time and making online payments. It was disclosed that screens, monitoring facilities, and live tracking will be activated with the installation of ITS. The said app will have three main features including providing general information about the routes of buses, their fares, and timings. The second feature will allow citizens to track the buses; allowing them to know where the next bus and when will it reach the bus stop. The third feature will enable people to pay through the app for the bus including payment through a QR code. He went on to say that people can buy a card and activate it via a mobile app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reportedly, the payment feature will be activated in December while the other two features will be operational by November. The minister was informed about the operation of the bus service, the ITS, the establishment of a command & control room, and the new routes.
