Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sent a summary to the federal government to form a new commission to revise the master plan for Islamabad, news sources reported on December 9. The committee will be headed by the director general of design and aims to revise the regulations in order to remove ambiguities. The committee will also work to streamline the building approval process, which currently takes three years for buildings on all sizes of plots. Under the new proposals, the CDA will have to decide on building plans within 10 days of their submission. The official said the changes would be available on the CDA website to help overseas Pakistanis understand the regulations before purchasing plots.
