The court declared the project legal since it had obtained the necessary land use approval from the relevant authorities. The CDA council informed the court that the authority had already obtained an Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) of the project from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pak-epa-nod-bhara-kahu-bypass-project.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"90278\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pakistan Environment Protection Agency (EPA)<\/a>, which had deemed the project safe for the environment. As per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cda-work-flyover-bhara-kahu.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"89640\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Project Concept-1 (PC-1)<\/a> submitted by the CDA, the 5-kilometre-long road, including a 1-kilometre-long flyover, would start from Murree Road near the QAU stop and culminate on Murree Road near the Jugi bus stop.
