The SBP received a total bid of PKR 2,286 billion, indicating the liquidity movement in the financial sector. However, the government accepted a lower total auctioned amount. As per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/sbp-foreign-currency-purchase.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"82400\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SBP documents,<\/a> the bank has offered the following profit rate for the long-term and short-term bonds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The 3-month cut-off yield was kept unchanged at 16.99%,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The 6-month cut-off yield was increased by 10 basis points to 16.88%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The 12-month cut-off yield was reduced by 4 basis points to 16.80%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the market sources, banks are investing in government papers for higher yields without risks, while private sector lending remains low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/encashment-of-prize-bonds.html\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"89605\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Deadline for encashment of discontinued prize bonds extended again<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that the funds generated will be used to finance the government\u2019s fiscal deficit and boost economic activities.
