As per the circular, the impot ban revoke decision was taken to provide relief and facilitate the economy, which has been severely impacted by the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The circular allows imports of essential items such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Food (wheat, edible oil, etc)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Pharmaceuticals (raw material, life-saving\/essential medicines)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Surgical instruments (stents, etc)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/savings-petroleum-import-govt-mulls-bringing-prices-down.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Petroleum Group (oil and gas)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Coal (for power projects, based on merit order of the Ministry of Energy)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Agriculture inputs (seeds, fertilisers and pesticides)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Raw material, input goods and spare parts by the export-oriented industries<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Plants and machinery (at least 75% already imported) for export-oriented projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/tapi-gas-pipeline-4-years-minister.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TAPI gas pipeline achievable in next 4 years: Petroleum Minister<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The State Bank has also allowed imports on a deferred payment basis beyond 365 days from the shipment date.
