The premier has directed the completion of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/dedicated-railway-line-to-transport-thar-coal-to-port-qasim.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">project by March 2023.<\/a> The Project Concept-1 (PC-I) of the project has been prepared and is expected to be approved soon.\u00a0 The said railway line project will include :\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Construction of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/railway-track-planned-coal-transportation-port-qasim.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">105-kilometer-long train track<\/a>, including a 24.58-kilometer loop line, and new single-line railway track infrastructure from Thar coal mines to the new Chhor station.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of an 18-kilometre long new double-line track (9-kilometer on each side), which includes 4.20-kilometer-long loop lines, from Bin Qasim railway station to Port Qasim.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of seven railroad stations along the railway route with 14 platforms, including two major stations established at Thar coal mines and the new Chhor station, and five intermediate stations located between the two.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/dedicated-railway-line-to-transport-thar-coal-to-port-qasim.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dedicated railway line to transport Thar coal to Port Qasim<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that the project is in line with the sectoral objectives of Pakistan Vision 2025 and is expected to enable the utilization of indigenous coal extracted from the mine to bring down the import bill and reduce the cost of electricity production.
