As per the authority chairman, five out of nine Special Economic Zones (SEZs), nominated under the China-Pakistan-Economic-Zone (CPEC), are being developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/new-corridors-cpec-project-chinese.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New corridors added to existing CPEC project: Chinese Consul General<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SEZA chairman revealed that under-development economic zones include; Allama Iqbal Industrial City in Faisalabad-Punjab, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pm-shehbaz-briefed-progress-rashakai-sez.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rashakai SEZ<\/a> in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dhabeji SEZ in Sindh, and Boston SEZ in Balochistan. It was also highlighted that the first phase of the Gwadar Free Zone \u2013 spanning 60 acres \u2013 is already completed and fully functional, while the mighty second phase \u2013 spanning 2,200 acres \u2013 is currently under progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting, it was also revealed that upcoming CPEC projects will be mainly related to textile, information technology, agriculture, science and mining sectors \u2013 which will help both decrease Pakistan\u2019s reliance on the importance and boost exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/kp-sezs-developed-during-2022.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KP shares details of SEZs developed during 2022<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SEZA chairman also revealed that all the notified economic zones in the country occupy some 10,029.64 acres of industrial land, of which 5,220.62 acres have been allotted to investors with a planned industrial investment of PKR 633.9 billion.
