{"id":91265,"date":"2023-01-06T14:42:25","date_gmt":"2023-01-06T09:42:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/?p=91265"},"modified":"2023-01-06T14:42:26","modified_gmt":"2023-01-06T09:42:26","slug":"lda-advisory-property-scams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lda-advisory-property-scams.html","title":{"rendered":"LDA issues public advisory to avoid property scams"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has issued important public advisory warning citizens to exercise caution when purchasing property in private housing schemes, as per the authority\u2019s official Facebook post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lda-qr-codes-registered-housing-lahore.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LDA assigns QR codes to every registered housing scheme in Lahore<\/a><br>As per the LDA advisory citizens are asked to exercise and keep in mind the following points before purchasing land in any housing scheme:<br><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lda-area-development-program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LDA gets PKR 1.6 bn under area development program<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Purchase property through legitimate sources and thoroughly investigate the credentials of the seller.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the title deed and other legal documents before entering into any transaction and consult with a qualified lawyer knowledgeable in property law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the scheme has obtained the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lda-qr-codes-registered-housing-lahore.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">necessary approvals<\/a> and has a layout plan or an approved town plan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify the total number and areas of various categories of plots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get a list of 20% mortgaged plot numbers and blocks&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the selected plot is within the approved scheme plan and not mortgaged with LDA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inquire about the availability\/approval status of the civic amenities (water, gas, power etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visit the site marked for public amenities like parks, schools, hospitals and mosques on the advertised maps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check if the project is under investigation for fraud and other illegal activities by any law enforcement agency, including National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has issued important public advisory warning citizens to exercise caution when purchasing property in private housing schemes, as per the authority\u2019s official Facebook post.
