{"id":91307,"date":"2023-01-09T16:22:20","date_gmt":"2023-01-09T11:22:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/?p=91307"},"modified":"2023-01-09T16:22:21","modified_gmt":"2023-01-09T11:22:21","slug":"tax-rationalization-real-estate-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/tax-rationalization-real-estate-challenges.html","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Tax rationalization in real estate sector can help meet country\u2019s economic challenges\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Islamabad: Real estate business leaders from across the country have called for better tax management and facilities to encourage growth in the real estate sector, as the sector can play a major role in bringing the country out of the ongoing economic challenges, news sources reported on January 8.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/real-estate-registered-secp-november.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SECP registers over 400 real estate construction firms in Nov<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These views were shared by the prominent realtors and representatives of estate agents\u2019 associations at the \u2018All Pakistan Real Estate Conference\u2019 held in Islamabad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference was organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/ieaa-facilitate-real-estate-sector.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Islamabad Estate Agent Association (IEAA)<\/a> and attended by IEAA President Sardar Tahir Mehmood, Realtors of Pakistan Chairman Ejaz Khan, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce President Saqib Rafiq, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce President Zafar Bakhtawari and other prominent figures from the real estate sector.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addressing the conference, IEAA President Mehmood said that the real estate sector can get the country\u2019s economy out of its current struggles as it is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/real-estate-registered-secp-november.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">country&#8217;s second-largest sector<\/a> with a net worth of USD 88 billion, where an annual investment of USD 4 billion is made by the non-resident Pakistanis (NRP). He believes that with the correct tax framework, the government can increase this investment to USD 8 billion.
