The authority reported that a remarkable increase in the recovery of funds, amounting to PKR 360 million, was achieved through a targeted campaign against illegal commercialisation, construction, and defaulters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the statement, the LDA launched more than 15 anti-encroachment drives in the first seven months of the current fiscal year (FY) 2022-23 against illegal constructions and individuals who have defaulted on commercialisation charges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lda-city-4th-balloting-tomorrow.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LDA City 4th balloting to take place tomorrow<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of these efforts, legal action was taken against over 250 properties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consequently, the amount recovered by the LDA is 110% higher than the recovery made during the same period in FY 2021-22, which amounted to PKR 171 million. Moreover, the authority also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/cbd-have-tallest-building-punjab.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">approved 184 building plans, <\/a>including 11 commercial and apartment buildings.
