Islamabad: Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has sought details on government-owned residences sized 2-kanal and above, a news source reported on March 15. The database of these houses will be tabled before the upcoming cabinet meeting, revealed Tarar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minister made this announcement in a meeting held to review the progress of the identification of such residences. It was highlighted that the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Railways<\/a>, Ministry of Communications, and Capital Development Authority (CDA) have already submitted details in this regard:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Railways owns 438 residences
The Ministry of Housing owns 194 residences
The Ministry of Communications owns 2 residences
The CDA owns 5 residences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sources revealed the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Works will coordinate with National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to create a database of these houses. Other ministries are also directed to provide details soon.
