During the meeting, the attendees considered and approved 4,500 MW <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/govt-diamer-bhasha-dam-ecnecs-approval.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Diamer-Bhasha Project<\/a> Power Generation facilities, at the cost of PKR 1.236.10 billion including a Foreign Exchange Component (FEC) of PKR 598.19 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the details, the purpose of the project is to capitalise on the economical and renewable hydropower energy benefits of 4,500 MW from the power generation facilities under the Diamer-Bhasha Dam project. The said project will be implemented by the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/ecnec-flood-rehabilitation-recovery.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ECNEC approves projects under flood rehabilitation, recovery initiative<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A road project that was approved by the ECNEC was the dualization and rehabilitation of the Dera Ghazi Khan-Dera Ismail Khan section of N-55, at the cost of PKR 11.377 billion without FEC. According to details, the project includes acquiring land for the widening and upgradation of a 329.7-kilometre long four-lane wide dual carriageway, starting from Rajanpur and terminating at Dera Ismail Khan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another project approved in the meeting was a reconstruction of the Turbat-Mand Road project, from the Sukkur-Larkana-Gwadar motorway (M-8) to the Iranian Border (Radeeq), at the cost of PKR 19.571 billion.
