Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA)\u2019s governing body approved the plan to prepare a new PC-1 for Leh Expressway<\/a> and Flood Channel project with a focus on the flood mitigation plan in the Nullah Leh, a news source reported on May 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 62nd meeting of the governing body was held in which the new plan of the said project was approved. According to a senior RDA official, the Punjab government wants to reduce the cost of the project and wants to focus on mitigating flood in monsoon season by separating the stormwater coming from Margalla Hills and sewage from the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
