The Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives has submitted a summary to the National Economic Council (NEC) requesting funds for several road projects in the upcoming fiscal year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry has proposed a budget for over 160 road projects, encompassing both new initiatives and ongoing ones. The following are the details of the budget:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The total approved cost for all National Highway Authority (NHA) projects is approximately PKR 2,881 billion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The total foreign aid allocated for these projects, roughly, amounts to PKR 459 billion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The proposed amount for allocation in FY 2023-24 is approximately PKR 161 billion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The proposed foreign aid for allocation in FY 2023-24 is approximately PKR 13 billion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The road projects involve construction, rehabilitation, and feasibility studies of various initiatives. Here are some of the major projects out of the 160 proposed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lahore-sialkot-motorway-linked-gujranwala.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lahore-Sialkot motorway to be linked with Gujranwala<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dualization of the 28.4-kilometre-long Rawalpindi-Kahuta Road including a 4-lane bridge over Sihala Railway Pass, Sihala Bypass, Kahuta Bypass, and land acquisition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of 101.41-kilometre-long Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Link (4-lane) via Narang Mandi to Narowal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>23-kilometre-long Quetta Western Bypass<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of an 18.3-kilometre-long 6-lane Highway, from Kala Shah Kaku to Lahore Ring Road over River Ravi (Lahore Eastern Bypass)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of 184-kilometre-long Faisalabad-Khanewal Motorway (M-4)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of Infrastructure and Allied works for Metro Bus Services from Peshawar Morr to New International Airport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Karachi-Lahore Motorway Land Acquisition at Lahore-Abdul Hakeem, Multan-Sukkur, Sukkur-Hyderabad, Lahore-Multan Motorway (M-3) section of the Karachi-Lahore Motorway<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Land acquisition and resettlement for China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) &#8211;
