Islamabad: Islamabad Police have initiated a drive to register tenants<\/a> and domestic workers, resulting in 34,211 tenants and 18,342 domestic workers being registered as of August 21. The aim is to tackle the increasing cases of theft and robberies in the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizens are advised to register tenants and domestic helpers online or at relevant police stations\/Police Khidmat Marakiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City Police Officer Dr Akbar Nasir Khan instructed the registration of tenants<\/a> and domestic workers under the new mechanism. The local police’s ‘Knock the Door’ campaign is also active, where officers visit homes within their jurisdiction to record tenant details through a questionnaire. Homeowners are required to complete the questionnaire and submit a copy of the rent agreement and other specified documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
