FDA Chief Engineer Mehar Ayub briefed Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh on the scope and details of these mega projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deputy commissioner visited the project sites to oversee both administrative and technical aspects, accompanied by officials including Deputy Director Development Rana Tahir, and Deputy Director Engineering Umer Iqbal, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the projects is the Abdullah Pur-Jhumra Road Flyover, with an estimated cost of PKR 1.36 billion. This project addresses the persistent traffic congestion issues at the Abdullah Pur Overhead Bridge turning point. The aim is to facilitate smoother traffic flow towards Jhumra Road. Moreover, the 0.75-kilometer-long flyover, which is set to commence at Railway Colony Tariqabad, adjacent to the old Abdullah Pur Overhead Bridge, will conclude at Jhumra Road. This project, recently sanctioned by the provincial cabinet standing committee, entails revamping the existing road, adding a 10-foot lane, incorporating tuff tiles, constructing footpaths, and enhancing drainage on both sides.
