The complimentary shuttle service will commence on August 14, ensuring that travelers can reach the new bus terminals without any additional cost or hassle. &#8220;We are committed to providing this facility from the existing bus depots to the new terminals free of charge,&#8221; Memon emphasised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting, chaired by Memon, was attended by key stakeholders including Secretary Transport Asad Zamin, Commissioner Karachi Hasan Naqvi, Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho, and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Traffic Ahmed Nawaz Cheema. The discussions centered on the strategic relocation of bus terminals to alleviate the pressure of heavy vehicles on Karachi\u2019s roads. Memon highlighted the negative impact of heavy vehicles on Karachi\u2019s infrastructure, stating, &#8220;Heavy vehicles have been a source of distress for Karachi\u2019s residents, increasing the burden on our roads. This relocation will alleviate some of these pressures.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan also includes the modernisation of the Karachi Bus Terminal, which will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater to passengers&#8217; needs. The free shuttle service will operate from major points in the city, including Cantt Station, Sagheer Shaheed Road, MA Jinnah Road, and Al-Karam Square. &#8220;Our goal is to ensure that neither the citizens nor the passengers face any inconvenience or discomfort during this process,&#8221; Memon stated.
