Islamabad: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Kingdom announced on October 1 that they will fund a key section of the M-4 Motorway which will link Gojra and Shorkot.
Reportedly, the ADB will provide a loan of $178 million and the British government will give a grant of $92 million, while the Pakistani government will contribute $46 million to build a four-lane section of the motorway. The National Highway Authority will execute the project within 4 years.
The development is a part of the National Trade Corridor Highway Investment Programme. It will reduce travel time and help the government improve road infrastructure in the country.
