Single unit vs double unit

What is difference between single unit and double unit bungalow?

It can mean two things:

- Bungalow with 2 floors (Basement + Ground) OR (Ground Floor + First Floor)

- Bungalow on same land with 2 parts adjacent to each other (left & right). However that is mostly referred to as Duplex.

Difference between both is that in single unit u have a 01 kitchen in both portions and in double unit there is a seperate kitchen for top and bottom floor

I think when it has two floors then it is called double story bungalow and when only one floor then single story bungalow so we cannot call it single/double unit.

Yeah having two portions left or right, may be this is correct definition.

Regarding having single kitchen this is also possible definition but this is something new for me as I haven't heard it before.

According to builders single unit means the house which have double or triple story with one access, stairs for first floor inside house after main entrance.

Double unit means house in house means two access separately for each floor after entrance the main gate.

Most people purchase double unit for rental purpose or two family member living with privacy with equal facilities.

Single unit is designed for single family accommodation even it has more than one floors construction.

Double unit is designed for 2 families separate accommodation with in one house. Double unit has separate entrance, kitchen etc for upper floor to maintain separation as well as privacy for both families.

Single unit is constructed on more than one floors usually for larger family.

Double unit is constructed usually for renting out to 2 different families.
