My brother requested for refund last year and after a long process they refunded. They will give you post dated cheques dividing your payment in 6-7 cheques. The dates can be anywhere between 3-6 months. You need to raise formal communication with them, take all receipts, and ask for refund asap. Find out someone and establish communication with him/her on your request.
