What is bayana?
Bayana is the money you put down as a guarantee before making the full payment. For example, I am browsing for cars. If I find something good, at a reasonable price, I would put down ‘bayana’, and arrange rest of the money to buy the car. Taking bayana gives the owner kind of a guarantee that whoever has given the token money is seriously interested to buy. Bayana is also non-refundable. Once somebody puts down the token money, it roughly seals the deal and the sellers stops looking for other prospective buyers.
