Recently, it was announced that the development costs of the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF)'s Green Enclave-1 project have increased 180 percent due to delays in the completion of the project.
The project was commenced in 2009 but got postponed due to the supreme court’s intervention. Later, the case was resolved in 2013. In the last ten years, the cost of the project has escalated from pkr 2.980 billion to pkr 5558 billion, which is manifolds.
FGEHF has decided that the cost escalation of the project will be borne by the allottees, who bought plots there. Will the allottees be able to pay the huge costs? Is FGEHF's Green Enclave-1 going to benefit the allottees at all?
