Windows sizing

Hello zameen forum,
I am looking your input and advice that how to size the window(windows) in room of house. I am working on two windows per room and one ventilator(roshan daan) over the window in each room. Natural ventilation and light is the objective.

Two windows is too much. You can have one window and one ventilater. Wind and air has certain flow. Once air is moving through big window, small ventilater will be enough to have cross ventilation. Air will flow by force through ventilater.

If you have too much area having window, it would be really difficult to control temp in summer and wonder too.

Good advice and well explained by B.R Malik Sb.

What should be the size of windows in the room, should be according to area of room?

Window sizes depend on size of room. Normally windows are 4’—8’ wide and 4’—5’ in height. Now a days ventilator are unwanted in bed rooms.Only kitchen & bath rooms require ventilators. Ventilators in air conditioned rooms loose cooling, so now a days no body wants ventilator in rooms
