FGEHA halts operation against illegal occupants

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) had planned a grand operation in Islamabad’s Sector G-14 in order to clear it of land mafia and illegal occupants. However, the authority halted the operation due to local political pressure.

It is unfortunate because the government employees who have paid all their dues and deserve the lawful possession of these plots but have been without it for over 16 years. Meanwhile, the illegal occupants have continued constructions and have been keep demanding for compensation, which has already been paid in amount that was liable.

It shows the deep roots of corruption in this country that the local representatives have to put pressure on FGEHA to halt the operation against the illegal occupants instead of supporting them. The allottees have now written a letter to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

Hopefully, the PM would take notice of this as 16 years is a long time to wait for ownership of something that is legally yours and you have already paid for it.

These type of operations always help dealers to create a hype that the operation have been started & raise the prices for the land which even get the possession today will not be in livable condition for next 5 years.

Most of the actual allotted employees already sell there plots & move to other develop schemes, now its the dealer game to sell there inventories & actual buyer get stuck for other 2 to 3 years.

Every day people are posting videos for the streets in G-14/1-2-3 showing that machines have plain the ground & trapping people.
